On April 3, 2025, at 23/9 Park (District 1), the Opening Ceremony of the 21st Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival officially took place, marking the beginning of a vibrant and inspiring series of activities. This event is not only a significant highlight for the city's tourism sector but also a meaningful welcome towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025).

Under the theme "HCMC Vibrant Essence", this year's Tourism Festival reflects the open, connected, and creative spirit of a dynamic and modern Ho Chi Minh City, where people, technology, culture, and tourism come together to share memorable experiences with both domestic and international visitors.

The organizing committee welcomed notable guests, including former leaders and representatives from various government ministries, as well as foreign diplomatic missions and international organizations in Ho Chi Minh City, alongside a large number of local residents and tourists.

The festival embodies the spirit of gathering and shining, reminiscent of 50 years ago when people from all over the country gathered in Saigon – Gia Định, marking a bright spring of national unity that laid the foundation for Ho Chi Minh City to shine on the world map over the past 50 years.

The theme "HCMC Vibrant Essence" also reflects the spirit of connection, innovation, and development, paying tribute to the collective efforts across the nation, showcasing the cultural and technological essence that will help Vietnamese tourism shine.

The Opening Ceremony featured unique artistic experiences, combining traditional and modern elements. The performance "Vietnam Gathering – Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City" showcased Vietnam's hospitality and welcoming spirit to the world. A highlight was a performance of a song celebrating 50 years of Ho Chi Minh City's development, composed by AI, reflecting the city's innovative and integrated spirit in the digital age.

Tourism Promotion Space: Creating Opportunities and Connecting Experiences

One of the standout features eagerly anticipated by residents and tourists at the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival is the tourism promotion space, which gathers hundreds of travel opportunities at competitive prices from leading localities and businesses. This year, over 100 booths from 41 provinces and 32 travel companies will showcase nearly 900 discounted travel products and services, with discounts of up to 45%. This space also creates an interactive environment for businesses in the tourism ecosystem to network, seek partners, and exchange business models in the post-recovery phase of the tourism industry.

In addition to the vibrant tourism promotion space, the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival offers a series of unique community activities, interactive programs, and special performances that enhance connections between residents, businesses, and management agencies. These activities will take place from April 3 to April 6, 2025, at 23/9 Park, designed as an "open space" for everyone to participate and explore

Alongside community engagement activities, the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival continues to enhance its role as a strategic connector between Ho Chi Minh City and other localities through a series of conferences and in-depth seminars. This is an opportunity to strengthen collaboration, share experiences, update industry development trends, and promote regional cooperation: the Tourism Promotion Conference for Quang Nam in 2025, a summary conference on the tourism development linkage program between Ho Chi Minh City and 08 northeastern provinces, and a seminar for tour guides providing a practical space for professionals, businesses, and workers to discuss topics such as skill enhancement, labor safety, technology application in the profession, and career trends in the digital transformation era.

Notably, to connect supply and demand in the tourism industry and support quality human resources for the market, the Tourism Job Exchange in 2025 will be held on the morning of April 4 at the main stage in 23/9 Park. This event will attract numerous tourism and service companies seeking to hire, as well as educational institutions specializing in tourism, hospitality, and restaurant management in Ho Chi Minh City.
