Vibrant Ho Chi Minh City - To foster stronger tourism partnerships between Vietnam and Singapore, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism (HCMC DOT) and Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Singapore organize the Roadshow Vietnam – Ho Chi Minh City Tourism in localities across Singapore, from October 25^th – 27^th, 2023. The delegations from Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City led by Mr. Le Truong Hien Hoa – Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, along with more than 20 representatives from Vietnam's tourism authorities, leading Airlines, Tour Operators, Travel Agencies, Hotels and Attractions.

With the aim to provide the most up-to-date information about Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City tourism products and services, as well as creating opportunities for Vietnamese travel businesses to meet with Singapore and international partners (Outbound Tour Operators and Travel Agencies, MICE Operators, Media...) to deepen engagement and expand opportunities for Singaporean and Vietnamese partners in tourism sector to meet, share industry and discuss tourism partnerships, the Roadshow Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City Tourism in Singapore 2023 will be organized with the following activities:

(1)    Meet #VibrantHoChiMinhCity at Booth B05 @ITB Asia 2023

-  Time: 10:00 – 18:00, 25 – 27 October, 2023

-  Venue: Booth B05, Level B2, Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Singapore

(2) Experience traditional handicraft activities such as making “to he” and folding coconut leaves.

(3) Get to know about Ho Chi Minh City Tourism and collecting publications and featured gifts from Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City Tourism destinations, such as Tote Bag, “Nón Lá” – Vietnamese Traditional Hats, Travel Guide, Vietnamese Coffee Filter...

Joining the Ho Chi Minh City – Vietnam Booth, visitors will experience a variety of activities: meeting with the leading airlines, tour operators, travel agents, and hotels in Vietnam – Ho Chi Minh City to discover Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh City tourism products offered exclusively for the Singaporean market such as: leisure and wellness tourism, cultural - historical tourism, golf tourism, B-Leisure – MICE tourism, educational tourism, eco-tourism and regional linkage products of Ho Chi Minh City. Besides that, updated information on benefits to attract MICE delegations to Ho Chi Minh City and about Ho Chi Minh City's Festival and Event Calendar in 2024 will be promoted to visitors.

Singapore has been one of the important tourist markets of Viet Nam, with the potential to increase the number of tourists to Vietnam overall and specifically to Ho Chi Minh City. Before the outbreak of COVID-19, in 2019, Singaporean visitors to Vietnam reached nearly 310.000 tourists and in 2022, Vietnam welcomes 178.861 Sinagporean tourists. As for Ho Chi Minh City, the total number of visitors from Singapore reached nearly 290.000 arrivals in 2019, and 114.000 arrivals in 2022, accounting for about 3.3% of the total number of international visitors to the City. The Singaporean tourist market has potential to grow and is always in the top 10 international tourist markets to Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City in the recent years./.
