Recently, on the evening of December 3rd at the City Post Office, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism organized the program to announce the list of "Ho Chi Minh City - 100 interesting things," with the participation of the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung.

The announcement ceremony for the program "Ho Chi Minh City - 100 interesting things" was launched in December 2022. After 4 months of launching, the program received 300 nominations and applications on the website https://100e.visithcmc.vn/.
In April 2023, the voting launch ceremony for the program "Ho Chi Minh City - 100 interesting things" took place within the framework of the opening ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival, with voters including businesses, individuals operating in the tourism sector, as well as tourists and city residents.
After nearly 8 months of implementation, the program received more than 104,000 votes across 10 interesting categories, including: Ho Chi Minh City sightseeing tours, entertainment programs, shopping places, tourist accommodation facilities, restaurants, eateries, cafes, and check-in points; cultural, sports, and delicious culinary tourism events.
Through the synthesis, evaluation, and selection of voting results, the Selection Council for the program "Ho Chi Minh City - 100 interesting things" selected the top 100 interesting things about Ho Chi Minh City in 2023.
Among the 10 interesting sightseeing tours in Ho Chi Minh City, notable ones include the Bao Tang Biet Dong Sai Gon Museum, double-decker bus tours of Ho Chi Minh City, and sunset views on the Saigon River. The list of 10 interesting sightseeing points includes: Ao Dai Museum, War Remnants Museum, Ho Chi Minh City History Museum, Independence Palace, Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon, and City Post Office. The 10 interesting check-in points include: Starlight Bridge, Ba Son Bridge, Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street, the People's Council headquarters - People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, and the Bach Dang Waterway Station.

The list of 10 entertaining places and interesting entertainment programs in Ho Chi Minh City includes: À Ố Show, Chill Sky Bar Rooftop, Dam Sen Cultural Park, and Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Area. The list of 10 interesting tourist accommodations in Ho Chi Minh City includes well-known names such as Caravelle Saigon Hotel, Cityhouse - City Oasis Hotel, InterContinental Saigon Hotel, and LOTTE Saigon Hotel. The list of 10 interesting dishes in Ho Chi Minh City includes specialties like banh mi, banh xeo, bun bo, com tam, various types of xoi, banh trang tron, and che. Additionally, there are other categories such as 10 interesting restaurants, eateries; 10 interesting cafes; 10 interesting shopping places; and 10 interesting tourism, cultural, and sports events.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City stated that the program "Ho Chi Minh City - 100 interesting things" will be a highlight for the city's tourism at the end of 2023 and welcome the new year 2024, contributing to enhancing the position and image of Ho Chi Minh City as a destination. He also urged all units to continuously care, maintain, and improve the quality of services to meet the trust and expectations of domestic and international tourists, contributing to enhancing the brand and competitiveness of the city's tourism.

Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, speaking at the announcement ceremony, expressed his expectation that the program will not stop at the number 100 but will continue to spread and expand. It aims to be a driving force to encourage various sectors and services across the entire city to continuously strive to contribute to the socioeconomic development of the city.
