The U.S.A has been a significant tourist market for many years and consistently ranks among the top 5 markets in Ho Chi Minh City. In 2019, prior to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, Ho Chi Minh City received over 561,862 visitors from the United States. In 2022, following the containment of the Covid-19 pandemic, the U.S.A tourist market exhibited a remarkable recovery despite Vietnam having recently reopened to international travelers. Over the years, the United States has increasingly become a popular and favorite destination for Vietnamese tourists.

At present, there are numerous airlines that offer flights from Vietnam to the United States. These airlines include United Airlines, Eva Air, Korean Air, China Airlines, and Singapore Airlines, among others. Their services play a significant role in fulfilling the travel and trade demands from both countries. It is worth mentioning that Vietnam Airlines has been operating regular non-stop flights from San Francisco to Ho Chi Minh City since late 2021, with an average of four flights per week. This offers tourists more convenient travel options and substantial time savings in comparison to connecting flights.

With the aim to providing the most up-to-date information about Vietnam-Ho Chi Minh City tourism products and services, as well as creating opportunities for Vietnamese travel business to meet with the USA partners (Outbound Tour Operators and Travel Agencies, MICE Operators, Media...), and in order to deepen engagement and expand opportunities for USA and Vietnamese partners in tourism sector to meet, share industry and discuss tourism partnerships, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism and the Consulate General of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam in San Francisco will hold the event Ho Chi Minh City – Vietnam Tourism Roadshow in the USA 2023 as follows:

The Vietnam – USA tourism roadshow aims to achieve three key objectives: to enhance tourism promotion, foster interaction and exchange among tourism businesses, and boost trade relations. Furthermore, the objective of the roadshow is to foster collaboration and cooperation between the tourism sectors of both countries, while promoting investment and facilitating business expansion. The roadshow offers a chance  to boost tourism promotion and strengthen trade relations between these two countries.
